On Sundays we come together to worship God.

What to expect on Sundays

  • Morning Services 9:30 & 11:30am
  • Evening Service 6:30pm

We love to give everyone a warm welcome at Lower Ford Street Church. We are a diverse group of people of all ages and many nationalities attending and serving in the church.

Our services can be described as traditional but the atmosphere of them is warm and accommodating towards all people, whilst joyfully and respectfully focused on God’s character and presence. We worship our God through singing, prayer and listening to God speak through his word, the Bible.

We know that as a Church we are not just a collection of individuals, God has brought us together and we enjoy each other’s company. Most people stay around after services to get to know each other better and encourage one another. We’d enjoy spending time with you too!

Our leaders are committed to explaining the Bible in a way which is truthful, connects with life in the 21st century and can be understood by all.

A hearing loop is installed.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Morning Services

We have two identical morning services at 09:30 and 11:30. Refreshments are served between the two services so that the people at each service can overlap and spend time together.

    Children’s Groups

A crèche is available from the beginning of both services. There is a children’s talk before the main Bible teaching when those aged 12 or under usually go and sit together at the front. For school years Reception – 5 there are separate Bible classes during the main Bible teaching. For children who stay in the service there is a “sermon search” questionnaire provided to help them follow what is being taught. Our welcome team will happily help you with any questions on arrival.

  • Sunday Lunch

Many from the Church family join each other for lunch on Sunday afternoons. Students are always offered lunch. Eight times in the year the whole Church will stay and eat together; this is great time when we really sense our togetherness as God’s family.

  • Evening Service

Our evening service is at 18:30 and follows a similar style to our morning services. Often students meet together after the service and once a month there is the chance for everyone else to meet in the home of someone in the church.
